Hiking in Michigan's Upper Peninsula | Shenanigans with Pinter Whitnick

Описание: We’ve traveled throughout much of the United States and love the feeling of discovery and adventure that comes with going somewhere new. At the same time, our travels have shown us that our home state, Michigan, is one of the most beautiful and underrated states in the country. In this series, we’re thrilled to share some of the stunning places in Northern Michigan that we encountered on a trip for Kayleigh’s birthday. These videos will be a little less vloggy and a little more cinematic, letting the scenery speak for itself. In this episode, we make the drive from Sleeping Bear Dunes to Pictured Rocks. Along the way, we stop at Oryana in Traverse City for lunch and some birthday treats. After a brief stop in Mackinaw City to gawk at the bridge, we cross over to the Upper Peninsula. This marks our first trip to the UP together! We make it to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and drive to Hurricane River Campground. After trying to get a fire going, we grab some UP brews and take in the most beautiful orange sunset over Lake Superior. The next morning, we begin a long day of hiking at Miners Falls. The dramatic power and steep climb down make these falls some of our most unforgettable. We view Miners Castle from a few vantage points and then begin the long hike down to Miners Beach. Along the way, we leave the main path and follow the river. We spy some slithery friends and Kayleigh finds a walking stick. When we reach the lake, we have the whole beach to ourselves! This hike through Pictured Rocks was so epic that it will continue into the concluding episode of this series! And remember to subscribe to get notified every time we post a new video!
