Описание: Michael Steinhardt was born to Jewish parents in Bensonhurst Brooklyn NY in 1940. His parents divorced when he was one. At age 13, his gambling father gave him a pile of stocks which started his career. At age 19, he graduated from U Penn Wharton School. In 1967, he co-founded his hedge fund Steinhardt Partners. His performance for the next 25 years was among the best in the world. In 1995, after a disastrous year and also settlement with US government for $70 million, he closed his fund. He created his own zoo, spent a lot of time with animals. He also co-founded Birthright Israel for charity purposes. In 2004, at age 64, he emerged out of retirement to start WisdomTree Fund, one of pioneering fund on ETF. His 2 secrets of success are (1) variant perception and (2) gambling he inherited from his father.
