The Internet of Things (IoT) lets us interact, plan and manage activities with a unique convenience. But at the cost of undermining both security and privacy. During this session we will discuss : - devices as a part of the Internet of Things - why it’s important to guarantee IoT and data security (e.g IoT keeps records about our habits) - how IoT-hacked devices have been used to perform cyber attacks - the story of the botnet MIRAI, a cyber army composed by IoT-hacked devices which were used to bring down the internet in America.
