On March 22nd, 2024, I spent my morning along the Knoxville & Holston River railroad and followed a couple of their trains on the outskirts of Knoxville, TN. This railroad has a unique roster of switchers, rebuilt KLW units, and even an old ex-L&N GP9. In this video, we’ll see the 102 job arrive and begin switching Coster Yard with the railroad’s SW1 (now slug) in the lead. The 101 job was also moving around Coster at the time with with some KLW rebuilds. We’ll also get a quick look at the Knoxville Locomotive Works facility!
