I went hiking for three days around Sussex, enjoying the company of other travellers along the way, friendly farmers and a bunch of wildlife from falcons to hares.
I stayed in a refurbished farm house for two nights and ate my lunch in fields filled with livestock and panoramic views. I hiked to the top of Firle Beacon and walked to the very top of the Newhaven coastal cliffs. I explored a local dairy farm with lots of cattle and their calves and explored the process of wheat production.
At some points, I also head off the beaten path which may give you guys some extra inspiration.
From countryside to coastal cliffs, the trails I followed include: Greenwich Meridian trail, the South Downs Way, the Sussex Ouse Valley way, Vangaurd Way, Newhaven Clifftop path, England Coast path.
