Find out which different shapes of "beam profile" or spatial energy distribution are required for different laser applications, such as welding and cutting. It also includes a brief introduction to the tools needed to measure a laser beam, such as BeamMaker, a feature in the Ophir BeamGage software, that lets you learn more about your laser beam and practice beam measurement.
