Jan Egeland is the Secretary General of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC). In 2006, Time Magazine named him one of the “100 People Who Shape Our World.”

With more than 30 years of experience in international humanitarian work, human rights, and conflict resolution, Jan played a key role in the peace negotiations that led to the Oslo Accords between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization in 1993.
