This video shows how to trim the flax plants in half using the hedge trimmer first to cut them down in size.
Then you can get close to the plant to dig it out.
Digging it out with levering the crowbar underneath the plant works a treat.
Also, once the plant has been levered out, you can pull parts of the plant out by hand.
