Day 8 — one week and one day smoke-free
Hey everyone, Jack here. It’s Day 8 of quitting smoking and I’m feeling pretty good. Last night I hit a bump—felt nauseous for a bit. I looked it up, and that can be a normal nicotine-withdrawal symptom. Your body’s adjusting, detoxing, and re-balancing.
The good news: today I feel much better. Even yesterday, despite the nausea, I felt grateful—thanks for all the messages, comments, and encouragement. I read as many as I can because everyone on this road needs a little push.
This video is for anyone trying to quit. I don’t wish you luck—because quitting isn’t luck. It’s strength. Strength to push through cravings and choose yourself over nicotine, one day at a time.
What happens around Day 8
Nicotine and its byproducts are clearing out.
Mild nausea, dizziness, or fatigue can pop up—detox signs.
Dopamine starts re-balancing, which helps mood and focus.
Oxygen flow keeps improving, so energy picks up.
Cravings shift from mostly physical to mostly mental.
Uncomfortable? Sometimes. But it means healing is underway.

FAQ
Q: Why am I nauseous after quitting?
A: As nicotine leaves, your body adjusts its chemistry and digestion. Nausea for a few days can be part of detox.
Q: How long does withdrawal last?
A: The toughest window is usually Days 3–10. By two weeks, most physical cravings fade; what’s left is mainly habit-based triggers.
Q: How can I feel better during withdrawal?
A: Hydrate, eat light, and move—gentle walks help. Remind yourself it’s temporary and worth it.
Encouragement
If you felt rough yesterday—keep going. Feeling off can mean your system is recalibrating. Don’t let that scare you; take it as proof you’re moving forward. And to everyone who’s shared their story—thank you. I wish you not luck, but strength: the strength to push through every urge and every tough minute.
