Werey Wike who hosted the PDP faction loyal to him in his house in Abuja yesterday has demanded from its "caretaker Chairman" that he is interested in Oyo state. He said the state has fallen, referring to Seyi Makinde's camp whose convention is annulled by the court. Wike says only PDP can face Tinubu in 2027. He said the other were those who approached court and got defeated

Makinde on the other hand responded to Wike today in Ibadan where he commissioned a new State party Secretariat for Oyo PDP. Makinde said Wike and others have been expelled from the party. Called him a vagabond. He confessed to have been yoked with them in 2023 but he has repented and "won't let the vagabond continue to hold PDP down for the ruling party."
