The Brodersen Way

It illustrates 3 types of redundancy, Type 1 is the old school used by most because they think it is the only way. Not really redundant in my opinion. Lose a cabinet and everything is lost, that’s not really redundant. It is like ice skating with swim pants underneath. It does not really do the trick in case of an accident. Using two or more cabinets gives the desired degree of safety. Loose one cabinet and you are still fine, and most of all, it does not cost more. The video also shows how to make smart engineering. Most engineers insert a CPU module in every cabinet, maybe because they don’t know how modern tech works :-) It is for sure more time consuming to program every slave module and also more expensive.
