I do a quick review and play test of my new Windy City Woodwinds 56 Mk. II alto mouthpiece. The 56 was initially designed through a partnership between Wally Wallace and WCW. Theo Wanne collaborated with Wallace and WCW to bring us the updated 56 Select (the hard rubber version) and the 56 Mk. II (3D printed version I review and play here). With a harder reed you can get some nice Paul Desmond-ish sounds going and with a softer reed some Johnny Hodges vibes are right around the corner.
