How to Play BattleTech: Aces - “Training Simulation” Full Mission Play Through (Alpha Strike)

Описание: Happy Thanksgiving! Here is a full play through of the second tutorial mission in BattleTech: Aces. This mission gets you ready for the full campaign by showing you how objectives, waypoints, and edge abilities work.

I do my best to put the Aces system to the test, bringing a fast-moving hover tank, multiple tracked vehicles, and some tough 'Mechs to see how the automa reacts to approaching units, close-range units, and units that get behind their line of fire.

I apologize in advance for any mistakes (I tried to document them with on-screen notes), moments of poor camera work (I did my best to manage everything), or boring rambling as I tried to figure out the best move based on the cards chosen for the Aces side.

MISTAKES NOT NOTED:
1. On the Juggernaut cards, it says "this unit occupies woods or depth 1 water" - I mistakenly interpret this (twice) as "the unit you are attacking" instead of "the unit this card is controlling".
2. In the first round of combat, I attack the Shadow Hawk with the Hellbringer instead of the Manticore (which had the highest armor).
3. I had the wrong understanding of how the Aces use OV (because the rulebook does a poor job of explaining it). I read the instructions as "only use OV if the OV value will allow you to hit structure". Instead, it should be played as "if there is a chance that this attack will hit structure (whether because of the OV or not), use OV". Because Aces uses multiple attack rolls, the automa will overheat frequently to increase its chances of hitting structure.
