ABOUT THIS PIECE

"Everything Stays" has been a favorite song of mine for a long time. It's so simple, and beautiful, and the lyrics make me feel nostalgia and comfort and loneliness and companionship all at the same time. I've been waiting for an excuse to perform it for YouTube, and discovering the connection between these two pieces became the perfect opportunity. Spinel, waiting in a garden, gem turning upside down, always staying, yet slowly changing...it very much seems like a lullaby written for or about her. This was a delight to make, I hope you enjoy!
