After a lot of pain working out all the parts and the coding, we did it! Retrofitting the Genuine Smart Reversing Camera with Moving Guidelines into our 453 with the TomTom Smart Media System!
This was a great accomplishment for us here, there was literally no info online and Mercedes themselves advised that it wasn't possible and couldn't provide any help!
We installed all the necessary parts and then in conjunction with our friends over at Star Automotive we worked out all the coding and how to do it! It also didn't need calibration to get the lines which is a bonus!
Now we have a fully function camera with moving guidelines installed as if it came from factory with it.
