CROCHET SUN SUMMER HAT PAMUK MAKREME PLATINUM DIRECTION

So let me now get started and tell you what you will need in order to crochet this perfect sun hat!
This sun hat is crocheted with single crochets, trebles and chains only.

The SUN SUMMER HAT PAMUK MAKREME PLATINUM has a simple construction, crocheted in spiral rounds as one piece from top down.

Pamuk Makreme Platinum
250 g / 265 m / 80 % cotton, 15 polyester + 5 % sequins

Cotton, braided solid twine character yarn with the addition of colored sequins on the thread.
Various accessories can be knitted or crocheted from the yarn = rugs, mats, ornaments and decorations, and they are very suitable for handbags, bags and various baskets and many more.

For HAT kids size 5-6 years: 1/2 ball

Size: this can easily be adapted to a smaller size or bigger size just by reducing or increasing the number of stitches in the first row and as well as making less or more rows for the summer hat.

Recommended Hook: 4.0 mm

I originally designed this hat for little girls 5-6 years old, I wanted it to be very open, lightweight and airy and breezy on top so it would be comfortable to wear in the heat.

The top is a very basic, easy single crochets pattern and it has a solid brim to keep the sun out of your eyes.

The hat is beginner friendly – holding the perfect shape without the help of wires, starch, or glue. I’m happy to share that I found a way to create the perfect brim! Everybody will love PINK PAMUK MAKREME PLATINUM Sun BEACH Hat as much as I do!

Difficulty Level: Level 1 – very easy for ultimate beginners

US crochet term:
SlSt – slip stitch
CH/s – chain/s
SC – simple crochet
TR - treble / tripple crochet
SK - skip
T - turn
SP - space
ST/s - stitch(es)
REP - repeat
YO – yarn over

Pattern Notes

1) This pattern below is for girls size, the hat can be easily adapted to a smaller size or bigger size just by reducing or increasing the numbers of stitches and as well as less or more numbers of rows. Remember that when making bigger hat size, you will need more yarn.

GIRLS Size:
Head measurement: 20.7 inch / 53 cm
Hat measurement: 19.5 inch / 50 cm
Hat crown size: 6.3 inch / 16 cm
Hat height size: 7 inch / 18 cm
Brim: 3 inch / 7.5 cm

*Measurements are taken from the garment lying flat, before the yarn has stretched out/dropped.

2) This Pattern is worked in spiral rounds and in joined rounds, crocheted from the top down using single crochets.
3) A Ch1 / a ch2 at beg of the row doesn't count as a stitch

4) On every round with single crochets work in spiral rounds, don’t closed round with slip stitch

5) On every round with treble crochets work in closed rounds. Replace first treble crochet with 2 chain stitches. Finish round with 1 slip stitch in 2nd chain stitch at beginning of round.

6) The hat is symmetrical.

7) The entire hat is only one piece as its crocheted in the rounds and there isn’t any extra seaming to join the hat together.

8) Instructions between two asterisks should be repeated for the remainder of the round
