DESCRIPTION
For the first time we have a flagship Android 5.1 watch with removable bands. And that's just the start. The H1 also joins only one other Android smartwatch (the Zeblaze Blitz) which is fully submersible waterproof. For some these two features will offset a few drawbacks.

So what are the drawbacks?

1. Limited memory: 512MB RAM and 4GB ROM (with about 1.5GB user usable). That is ridiculous for a watch with a camera that can shoot stills or video. Also, Android watches with under 1GB RAM will not support offline speech to text, which is a very useful alternative to the tiny keyboard.

2. Older Android OS: This watch comes with Android 4.4, which, with the limited memory is OK to get the basic job done, but we would like to see an Android 5.1.

3. Slow processor: This H1 uses a dual core processor and, combined with limited memory, has a very slow Antutu score around 10,000. That can be doubled with a quad core processor and twice the RAM/ROM memory/storage, so moving to an “H1 plus” with quad core, Android 5.1, and 1GB/8GB would be a wonderful watch. of course, battery life might take a hit with all this memory and processor power, so keep that in mind.

4. No support for custom watch faces: This is almost unforgivable. Adding custom watch faces is one of the best parts of owning an Android watch. Activating user access to the software clock engine, a feat which should be a very simple firmware update.

With all that said, remember, this watch is FULLY WATERPROOF and has REMOVABLE BANDS, so it does have what no other Android watch on the market has. It does work as an Android 4.4 dual core watch, and doesn’t appear to be noticeably sluggish in performance, so it could be a really good watch for those looking for these coveted features.
