Before the Partition, this village was home to wealthy Muslim and Sikh families who lived together in peace. The Muslim families belonged to the Tauni clan of Rana Rajputs, who migrated during the chaos of 1947 — some even reaching Bangladesh, but most settled in Pakistan, where they are still known as “Ranas.”

The video was created on the request of these Muslim families who wished to see their ancestral land, homes, and memories. In this documentary, you will see the old mosques, narrow streets, fields, and historical landmarks of Majaath village, which still stand as silent witnesses of a shared past.

This story highlights the emotional scars and the untold truths of Partition that separated communities but left behind a heritage that speaks of unity, coexistence, and the deep bonds once shared.
