Parmenides of Elea (c. 515–450 BCE) was a pre-Socratic Greek philosopher and a central figure in the Eleatic school of thought. His philosophy, which profoundly influenced later thinkers like Plato and Aristotle, is known for its radical monism and rejection of change and multiplicity. His ideas are primarily preserved in his poem On Nature, which is divided into two parts: the Way of Truth (Alētheia) and the Way of Opinion (Doxa)
