We were introduced to Errollyn at Frontiers Festival 2016 following a concert of her music and songs. The next day, whilst finalising our tribute to Birmingham Central Library, Errollyn sprung on us out of the blue for a meeting.
The meeting, though short, was intense and productive. Flying through various ideas and concepts at great speed a sudden idea of "Jelly Beans" was put to us by Errollyn.
Within the hour, a large box of jellybeans was sent to us and the race to complete the film in a week commenced!
We liked the idea that in a photographic subject you find different shapes and lines depending on where you are. In an urban environment you will typically find straight lines and sharp clean angles whereas in nature, shapes are more curved, less symmetrical and ordered.
This video celebrates the launch of Errolyns new album PHOTOGRAPHY, a collection of orchestral pieces featuring Ensemble X.
