The scholarly and Scientific Publishing Altmetrics are none traditional bibliometric. Altmetirc is an alternative of the traditional metric but it cannot replace the traditional bibliometric i.e. citation count, impact factor and h-index. The Term Altmertic is used formally by Jason Priem in 2010.
Altmetirc provides the instant picture of an article or research item when available and accessible atlmetirc provide the popularity of the research article or research items.
