Influx of refugees puts strain on Kisoro hospital

The rising number of people from neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda entering Uganda through Kisoro in need of medical aid is stretching Kisoro Main hospital beyond its limit. The outpatient department receiving between 5000-6000 patients every month. Hospital employees, members of staff and district leaders are now appealing to government for additional support, especially with the employment of more qualified medical workers
