Have you ever been driving down road and had this thought flash across your mind: I wonder if I closed the garage door? I have, and I even turned around and went back home just to make sure it was closed. At least I was still close to home when that happened, but what if I'd been in a big hurry and didn't have time to go back, or if I was several miles (or States) away? Well, I found a very practical and inexpensive solution: The MyQ Smart Garage Hub from Chamberlain is a great little device that allows you to open or close your garage door from anywhere! It's like having a garage door remote with unlimited range, making it very useful in several different situations. It's controlled by the MyQ app, which at the time that this video was made, was known as the "MyQ Garage & Access Control" app. In addition to allowing you to open or close your garage door from anywhere, the app also shows you the current state of the door, whether it's open or closed, and how long it's been in that state. You can also set it up to send you alerts if your garage door has been open for a length of time that you specify. Also, you can use it to set a schedule for the door, automatically closing it if it's still open after a certain time of day. Installation is fairly simple and requires very few tools. Where the service is available, this system also works with Amazon Key to allow delivery personnel to leave packages in your garage. I am very pleased with the operation of the MyQ Smart Garage Hub, and recommend it to my viewers. I bought this device with my own money and I was not paid to test or promote it.
