The Deh Cho Bridge is located over the MacKenzie River near Fort Providence, Northwest Territories in Canada.
Buckland & Taylor was the erection engineering consultant for the 1.045 km bridge that replaced the operations of the Merv Hardie ferry (summer) and the Mackenzie River Ice Crossing (winter), that were previously used to cross the river at that location.
Difficult geometry, a challenging super structure reconfiguration and harsh conditions all played a factor in the construction engineering of this bridge. The video below discuss how B&T worked hand in hand with the contractor to get this project back on track and completed in a timely manner.
