Produced, performed, and engineered entirely by Sonora-based fictional multi-instrumentalist Tuco Hernandez( also known as LOMBRERO), this audacious project drags The Doors' psychedelic classics through the sun-scorched Sonoran desert and emerges with something gloriously heavy, fuzzed-out, and intoxicating.

What happens when you take the mystic poetry of Jim Morrison and run it through walls of distorted guitar, thunderous bass, and hypnotic, groove-laden drums? Hernandez provides the answer across seven carefully selected tracks that span The Doors' legendary catalog. From the opening rumble of "Roadhouse Blues" to the closing haze of "Ships With Sails," each song is deconstructed and rebuilt with crushing riffs, doomy atmospherics, and the kind of low-end swagger that would make Josh Homme nod in approval.

"I kept thinking about how The Doors already had this desert energy, this primal, shamanic vibe," says Hernandez. "They were psychedelic rock pioneers, but there's something in those songs—especially the darker, bluesier tracks—that just begged to be slowed down, tuned down, and cranked up. This album is my answer to that impulse."

Recording entirely in his home studio in Sonora, Hernandez handled every instrument, vocal, and production duty himself. The result is a cohesive sonic vision that's both reverent and rebellious—honoring the source material while fearlessly transforming it into something distinctly modern and monumentally heavy.

Fans of Kyuss, Sleep, and Electric Wizard will find familiar territory here, but Hernandez's arrangements never lose sight of The Doors' original melodic and lyrical brilliance. It's psych-rock meets stoner doom, California mysticism meets Mexican desert heat.
