WATER INJECTION: In the video I understood that W.I. was NOT modelled. However, I have other information which indicates that from the block25 onward WI was automatically activated when 1/8” from full throttle. So, it is possible that WI WAS operating automatically. To be honest, I was and am far more focused on the feel of the machine and its handling than the specific engine settings and management. This should all be more clear once the release version is out.
Also, on the subject of engine management - not all of the stressing/ cooling effects were in place in the version I flew, so it is highly likely that the release version will not operate at these high settings for as long as I was able to have them.
This variant is the P-47D-30 late - with late throttle, K-14 gunsight, dorsal fin, and bombs/chemical release panel. The earlier model without the dorsal fin is, apparently, even more unstable in the pitching-yaw than this variant!
