Kimreeaa Gallery is pleased to present an artist interview with Kim Ahra, held in conjunction with her solo exhibition, “Even a Single Day is Long, If You Try to Understand” (March 5 – April 4, 2026).
In this conversation, Kim Ahra reflects on her distinctive approach to structure, inspired by the logic of traditional Korean architecture and reinterpreted through a contemporary sculptural language. By dismantling the conventional canvas frame and reconstructing it into rhythmic forms, she explores the dynamic relationships between void and structure, and the dialogue between tradition and modernity.
Through this process, Kim invites viewers to reconsider how space, form, and perception interact within the boundaries of painting and sculpture.
