New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani on Friday (January 23) delivered a blunt warning to city residents about what's coming: cold temperatures, strong winds, and potentially one of the biggest snowfalls the city has seen in years. Speaking at a press briefing, he emphasized that "your city is prepared."
The mayor said the city's snow response will ramp up as the storm approaches. Thousands of Department of Sanitation trucks and partner agency vehicles are expected to be converted into what he called the nation's largest snow-fighting operation.
