11 2 How to translate the middle voice in the Greek NT for beginners Ver2 2024

Описание: MIDDLE VOICE: In this video you will see how to translate the middle voice in the Greek New Testament for beginners. While the English active and passive voices are used in ways very similar to the active and passive voice in Greek, English does not have a middle voice, which can sometimes cause beginners challenges as they try to understand what the middle voice in Greek is. Rob McIver explains the middle voice by considering examples of frequently occurring verbs that are found mainly in the middle voice, and identifies different categories into which these verbs may be classified. Doing this allows beginners to lay the foundation of their understanding of the Greek middle vice. The video concludes by explaining that verbs found in the middle voice in the Greek New Testament are usually translated with the English active voice.
