Oral histories are an integral part of the mobile exhibit "DON'T STAND ALONE," presented by the New Orleans Workers' Center for Racial Justice. Built on years of community-university research collaboration, this mobile exhibit is only the beginning.
The exhibit uncovers the untold stories of commitment and unity among Black workers in New Orleans. From the struggles in the past to the challenges in the present, learn the power of collective action and engage with the enduring spirit of solidarity.
Experience the triumphs and tribulations of those who dared to stand up, speak out, and fight for justice in the face of adversity. Let their voices inspire us to continue the legacy of solidarity. You Are Not Alone - because together, we stand stronger.
Release Date: March 14, 2024. Runs through May 10, 2024, at The Small Center, 1725 Baronne St., New Orleans, LA.
The exhibit is a collaborative project led by the New Orleans Workers’ Center for Racial Justice; the Center for Public Service, the Department of History, the Albert and Tina Small Center for Collaborative Design at Tulane University; the Ethel & Herman L. Midlo Center for New Orleans Studies and the Justice Studies Program at the University of New Orleans, with support from the Andrew W.
