On 21 February 2026, the festive celebration took place in Chinatown The Hague. The afternoon started at Rabbijn Maarssenplein with the official opening by Mayor Jan van Zanen.

After the opening ceremony, the traditional lion and dragon dances set off for a colorful parade through Chinatown. Accompanied by the powerful rhythm of drums, loud fireworks and spectacular performances, the streets were filled with energy and celebration.

Chinees Nieuwjaar 2026 in Chinatwon Den Haag!

Op 21 februari 2026 vond de feestelijke viering plaats in Chinatown Den Haag. De middag begon op het Rabbijn Maarssenplein met de officiële opening door burgemeester Jan van Zanen.

Na de opening vertrokken de traditionele leeuwen- en drakendansen voor een kleurrijke parade door Chinatown. Met het ritme van de trommels, spectaculaire dansen, knallend vuurwerk en feestelijke sfeer werd het Jaar van het Paard uitbundig gevierd.
