Rajgad, meaning "King of Forts," served as the capital of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's Swarajya for over 26 years. Located in the Sahyadri mountain range near Pune, this fort stands at 4,603 feet and is one of the largest hill forts in Maharashtra. During monsoon, it transforms into something completely otherworldly — waterfalls on every face, fog rolling over the Padmavati Machi, and the entire fort draped in green.
