Lots of Pink Footed Geese are arriving at Martin Mere and mixing with the Canada and Greylag Geese but they will soon vastly out number them and by 10s of thousands.
Also there was a good number of lapwings and a little more unusual were 6 cattle egrets on one of the islands on the main mere.
Out of three geese I see in the North West of England the Pink-footed Geese are my favourite, they are a proper migrant.
