Ella Fitzgerald performing “Lullaby of Birdland” at the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam on 25-08-1958. Her performance is accompanied by Don Abney on the piano. Ella Fitzgerald (1917 – 1996) is propably one of the best scat singers in its history. She had a long-lasting and successful career of nearly 60 years, with her last performance being in 1993. She won 14 Grammy Awards and a Presidential Medial of Freedom during this period.
