Compline is the final prayer of the day in the traditional Divine Office and has remained one of the most beautiful and consistent hours of the Roman Breviary.
Compline is quite a simple, restful, low-maintenance hour to pray, almost as if the liturgy is giving you a break after a long day’s work. There are minimal variations from day to day, making it a perfect “entry point” into praying the Divine Office, or just simply adding a peaceful end to your evening.
