We're loving this - a fascinating documentary that Concerto Budapest Symphony Orchestra put together after its UK tour last summer (2022), shining a light on the Orchestra and tour, with some really lovely moments between members of the Orchestra! András Keller conducted a superb programme of Bartók and Beethoven, joined by acclaimed pianist Angela Hewitt for a Mozart Piano Concerto.
And we are very pleased to say that both Orchestra and soloist are making return visits in our 2023-24 Zurich International Orchestra Series (though not together this time).
Concerto Budapest Symphony Orchestra returns on 14 September 2023 to perform symphonies by Mozart and Beethoven, with Pierre-Laurent Aimard the soloist in Bartók's Piano Concerto No. 3.
Angela Hewitt performs concertos by Mozart and Bach on 3 October 2023, this time with Kammerorchester Basel (who also perform Vaughan Williams' sublime Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis, and Shostakovich's Chamber Symphony, the orchestration of his searing String Quartet No. 8).
