The Hapkido figure 4 lock is a rapid and easy technique that locks the opponent's shoulder and drops them to the ground. It can also be used to reverse into an arm bar, or to counter someone who is fighting your arm bar. It can be taken into a wide variety of finishes, from striking finishes, to an arm or wrist break, to a branch up or branch down.
