Day 10 - Peacock Slough River Camp to Branford

Описание: Day 10 - 19.71 miles (Peacock Slough to Branford): Today I had my eye on the prize to get to Branford to see my parents. Early on today I had some more shoals and rapids. When will they end!? On the way to Branford I stopped to check out Royal Springs (the spring run is dry!), and Little River Springs, which was beautiful! I'd like to go back there again sometime. Just before 2pm I rolled up into Branford at the Ivey Memorial boat ramp where my mom and dad were waiting. They had also just arrived, great timing! I went through the whole process of unloading my kayak, loading it onto the car and strapping it down. My parents also brought me some ice cold Coke in a bottle! What a great treat! We drove to Lake City to stay at a hotel (about 25 minutes away) where I took a shower, did laundry, ate some dinner and crashed. Oh how nice it was to sleep in a warm, soft, cozy bed after taking a proper shower.
