On Route 4, Rosa meets up with Colress, who is standing in front of a large blockade of boulders. However... These boulders are in fact the homes of the Stone Home Pokémon, Crustle. He then uses a machine to get them to clear the path forward. With this demonstration out of the way, he readies himself to study his newest subject through battle.
Mystery Scientist Colress:
This individual is studying ways to bring out the power of Pokémon. To further his research, he has decided to study Rosa's Pokémon through battle.
Magnemite:
The first Pokémon that the scientist has chosen is the Magnet Pokémon, Magnemite. It knows Thunder Wave, SonicBoom, Spark, and Magnet Bomb.
Klink:
Colress's last Pokémon is Klink, the Gear Pokémon. It can use Charge, ThunderShock, Gear Grind, and Bind.
