This tour covers the NNE wall (Dreieselswand) of Lenzspitze with a ridge traverse to Nadelhorn, and then down to Saas-Fee. The mountain face is graded as a “D” (“S” - 55°, 450m) tour, and the ridge is AD+ (ZS+). The face was a dream, but the ridge felt like an early spring tour due to the amount of snow on it.
I was not acclimated at all, but it's rare to have such amazing conditions, so I decided to go for it. This is evident on my face, and I also moved slower than usual. Luckily, it didn't cause any serious issues, and I was able to get back to Zürich on the same day.
My climbing partner, Dina, is the best alpinist I know, which made things much easier. We split the work: I led the face, and she led most of the ridge. It was also the first time I made a proper recording of a mountaineering tour. I think I will do it more often in the future. :)
