It was a blessing to journey down the Nile on the boat into town to see the sunrise and feel the song of Ancient people through the whispers of the River Nile.

My stay at Kato Waidi Nubian House lives in my heart. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a comfortable environment that is child friendly. Tipping is part of the Egyptian tourist culture and I found myself wanting to share because of the profound humility and generosity of everyone I met. And the Kato Waidi Nubian Village has a vibrant Bazaar with wonderful artwork and souvenirs to remember the journey!
