VERY RARE! UNITED STATES AIR FORCE Boeing 737 (C-40C) Landing at London GATWICK Airport (+ATC)

Описание: A real nice surprise at London Gatwick Airport on Sunday 28th April 2019 was this United States Air Force Boeing C-40C (737-700) arriving at around 8:30pm as "SPAR11". 😆

Probably the best movement that I've caught that I didn't know I was going to catch! 😂 It was a relatively uneventful and monotonous evening of plane spotting at Gatwick, with the majority of movements being Easyjet and BA...that was until I heard "line up behind the arriving Boeing 737" on the radio and saw nothing of the sort on FlightRadar24. Instantly I pressed record and well, this beautiful United States Air Force Boeing C-40C rocked up! 😍 09-0540, one of only 11 737-700 (C-40) aircraft in the USAF's fleet, arrived at 20:24 on Sunday 28th April 2019. A short while before it arrived a large convoy of vehicles can be seen making their way across the apron with a police escort. The same vehicles then leave the area after the C-40C parked up. According to a friend of mine (   / bristolcardifairport  ) the arrival of the aircraft was related to the planning of the 75th anniversary of D-Day which will take place later this year. We are still unsure of who exactly was onboard - If you have any information let me know in the comments! 👍
