Alistair is a clinical Intensivist and a clinical trialist. He is the Director of the Irish Critical Care Clinical Trials Network, University College Dublin and Dept Director of the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Research Centre at Monash University. Alistair has been a senior investigator on over 20 trials which have randomised over 50,000 patients in the last decade. He has been an investigator on funding awards in Ireland, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Europe etc with a value of over 70 million Euros and has over 20 publications in the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, the Lancet and Nature. However, he has come to the stark realisation that he is working too hard and needs to wise up.
