CapCut PC Tutorial: How to Use the Fan Out Transition

Step 1. Arrange your clips.
Import your video clips into the media library. Then, drag and drop them onto the timeline, placing them one after another on the same track.

Step 2. Find and download the transition.
Click on the 'Transitions' tab on the top toolbar. Browse or search for the 'Fan Out' transition. If this is your first time using it, you may need to click the download icon to install it.

Step 3. Apply the transition.
Click and drag the 'Fan Out' transition from the menu and drop it directly onto the cut point between two video clips on your timeline.

Step 4. Confirm duplicate frames.
A pop-up window titled "Create duplicate frames for transition" will appear. Click 'OK' to proceed. This step ensures the transition works smoothly.

Step 5. Adjust the transition duration.
The transition will appear as a gray rectangle on the timeline. You can adjust its length in two ways: by dragging the edges of this gray box left or right, or by changing the duration value in the adjustment panel on the right side of the screen.

Step 6. Apply the same transition to multiple clips (Optional).
If you have several clips and want to add the same Fan Out transition between all of them, first apply it to one cut point. Then, click on that transition's gray box on the timeline. In the adjustment panel on the right, find and click the button that says "Apply to all." This will automatically add the same transition between every other clip on that track.
