MEIL Chairman PP Reddy dedicates “Ramaa Vaaradhi” to the people of Jamulapalli
On April 07, 2023, Mr P P Reddy, the Chairman of MEIL, along with Mrs Rama Reddy, Director, inaugurated the Gorikhandi Bridge, named “Rama Vaaradhi” at Jamulapalli, a remote village in Pithapuram Mandal of East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh. The Yeleru canal flowing along the town frequently overflows following floods caused by heavy downpours. As a result, villagers and farmers have been struggling to commute to the other side of the stream to reach their fields and to undertake other business activities post-rainfall. Easing this scenario, we have constructed the Gorikhandi bridge to mitigate the issue as part of our CSR activity. As the bridge is ready now, villagers can use the bridge to reach the other side of the canal.
