India Post eyes 30% revenue growth to ₹17,546 crore in FY26: Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia

Описание: Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Thursday said the Department of Posts has set a target of achieving 30% higher revenue at ₹17,546 crore in the current financial year ending March 2026, up from ₹13,240 crore in FY25.

After the third quarterly review of the Department of Posts, Scindia said four out of six verticals have recorded revenue growth, while mail and international mail remained static due to restrictions in the US market.

He said the department aims to transform from a cost centre into a profit centre over the next 4-5 years. Scindia noted that Post Office Savings Bank revenue rose to ₹5,426 crore, while PLI and Rural PLI grew to ₹1,030 crore, parcels increased to ₹485 crore, and citizen-centric services nearly doubled to ₹641 crore.
