When talking about feeling discriminated against at work, turns out that being over 40 years old is a major factor. A new study by myperfectresume of workers 40 years old and older shows that "older" workers feel bullied, out of place, disconnected, and lack feelings of belonging.
The report shows the following:
• 92% feel like they have to hide their age and experience
• 95% feel less belonging because of age-related stereotypes
• 86% have felt bullied
• 88% admitted to sometimes adapting their behavior and language to fit in with younger colleagues
