This is a simulation video of an Active Traffic Management (ATM) system. Elements of the ATM system are described as follows:
1. The first gantry shows a dynamic message sign (DMS) displaying a message about a collision ahead and a lane control system shows HOV designation along with blank signs to indicate that conditions are normal at this point.
2. The second gantry shows a lane control system displaying two yellow merge left arrows indicating that the two right lanes should merge to the two general purpose lanes and the HOV lane. Two DMS messages prepare motorists for impending lane closures.
3. The third gantry shows a lane control system displaying two yellow "X"s above the two right lanes to indicate their impending closures. A DMS display incident notification and advisory messages.
4. The fourth gantry shows two red "X"s above two right lanes which indicates closure. Two DMSs display lane closure messages.
5. The fifth gantry contains lane-specific variable speed limit signs and a DMS indicating that all speed limits have returned to normal.
