Is it worth $40 dollars? Belkin InvisiGlass Ultra Review - iPhone 7 Glass Screen Protectors

Описание: So should you spend $40 dollars on a screen protector especially when you could spend less than $10 on Amazon? In my opinion, if it is the Belkin InvisiGlass Ultra, you should. This is hands down one of the best screen protectors I have used and I’ve gone through A LOT.

Now the one I’m showing you has been damaged but not from normal usage. If you’ve seen my Incipio Octane review, you’ll know what I did to it. The standout feature for me is the fact that this Belkin Screen protector is made from Gorilla Glass which means it is thin BUT strong. You won’t get this with normal tempered glass screen protectors. This product would go great with certain waterproof cases.

It’s painful to do especially when we like the product but necessary to ensure that you’re not getting screwed out of your hard earned cash. So in the next few minutes, I’m going to talk about the general design, elaborate on the differences between Gorilla glass and normal tempered glass, the protection it offers your screen and finally the functionality of the product.

This screen protector is thin. I didn’t have any issues with the installation and because of the fit, bubbling shouldn’t be an issue. I did get this through the Apple Store so I do believe they could have installed it for me. Due to it’s thinness at .21mm, I don’t think you could reuse this screen protector easily. You might if it’s not cracked you generally can’t reuse glass screen protectors.

The fit of this product is a bit lacking. It doesn’t cover the entire touchable area and that’s due to the thinness of the glass I believe. Any bigger and you’d get gaps between the iPhone and screen protector.

I am most impressed with the build quality of the screen protector. The biggest difference between this screen protector and a $10 dollar tempered glass scree protector is the extra treatment it gets. InvisiGlass Ultra is a piece of tempered glass that’s chemically treated to make it stronger which is why I can’t chip the edges of the screen protector with my finger nail. The $10 dollar screen protector that you would get couldn’t get this thin and not chip.

For protection, Belkin doesn’t explicitly state 9H hardness but we all know that coins, keys won’t leave a mark. For impact protection, if you watched the Incipio Octane drop, you’ll know that my iPhone was safe from a face first drop from 5 ft on to a bunch of rocks. The screen protector did break but the iPhone’s screen is fine.

I didn’t have any issues accessing the iPhone’s touchscreen. There were no sensitivity issues, clarity was awesome and because it is glass, fingerprinting isn’t going to be an issues.

So would I get this product? Yes, I would. It is one of the best screen protectors I’ve used to date. I actually like it better than my current personal favourite, the ITG Silicate Glass. At $40 dollars, it is one of the most expensive screen protectors out there but at least the high price tag is justified.
