Kris and Leaf are the female player characters and Crystal (Kris) and FireRed/LeafGreen (Leaf). I built their team the same way Red's team was built in the Johto games. They have a starter, and then add gift and static Pokémon. I tried to have as much variety as possible in species, evolution lines, and types. I'd already made a team for Gold, so I took that team into account as well when building Kris' team.
